It's really tough. Too much going on, too much to keep up with. Haven't been doing it. Here's a stab.
Made brownies with my girls. Had a fantastic time with them, really focusing on them. Little chocolate loves, they are.
The sun on their faces, the joys of simple swinging. The cheer of being near them. Their goofy grins. The warmth of their skin, the light in their eyes. Their silly, children's jokes, that make so little sense that that is was is funny about them.Slacker me hasn't done what I promised. So, here's one to redeem me.
I have another one like this, but of him snuggling P when she was a bit younger. Glad I can finally add one of him with A.
Nick took this. It pleases me greatly. I honestly don't (didn't) have any photos of me with my girls having fun. And now I do. Thanks, love.
We had a blast - even though A & I had been there twice in one week. P was beside herself with excitement, as she knew she missed the first trip. They seem to add things each year and it's all kinda silly fun stuff. Like a soccer area where you can kick balls to your heart's content. A great playground, and another for the smallers, magnetic darts, a ball toss based on one you'll find at the fair, cowboy rope-n', a pile of dirt with lots of tractors, and the piece de resistance - the cottonseed pile to slide down. Oh, and a neat hayride where you learn all about farming on their dairy farm.
So, when you're fresh out of fun things to do in October, head on over to Oma's. And that's the advertisement. For all of the nobody who reads this blog. :)
